What is an Engine Tune-Up?
A typical tune-up consists of replacing necessary car parts like spark plugs, cabin air filters, and fuel filters as needed. In addition, technicians will also inspect your vehicle’s engine and analyze its performance and make adjustments to your car to keep it in its best, safe shape. How often you need a tune-up can depend on the age of your vehicle. Older used cars with non-electric ignition systems should get a tune-up once every 10,000 to 20,000 miles. Newer cars should try to get one once every 30,000 to 100,000 miles. We recommend consulting your vehicle owner’s manual for the manufacturer’s recommendation or asking one of our expert technicians.
