Powertrain and performance
Under the hood, you will find one of two engine options in the 2019 Outlander. For the majority of trim levels, you will get the standard 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine. It comes mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission and puts out 166 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque while achieving 30 mpg on the highway.*
On the GT 3.0 S-AWC trim level, your engine option is a 3.0-liter V6 paired to a six-speed electronic automatic transmission. This system churns out 224 horsepower and 215 lb-ft of torque. Even with this robust powertrain, the GT still gets 27 mpg on the highway.*
The Outlander comes standard with three rows of seats to fit you whole family with ease. Its quiet cabin is well-built with a modern, simple design which keeps you and your passengers comfortable on the go. Behind the third-row seats you will find 10.3 cubic feet of cargo space, which upgrades to 34.2 cubic feet behind the second row and a maximum 63.3 cubic feet. The 60/40-split fold-down rear seats with slide and reclining adjustments and a 50/50 flat fold-down third-row seats make the storage area easily configurable to fit your storage and passenger needs so you can carry everything in one trip.
