The 2019 MitsubishiMirage might be small, but it has a lot to offer. This subcompact hatchback combines value, great fuel-efficiency numbers, and a long list of features to make it an appealing everyday vehicle. Add its larger-than-expected interior, and the 2019 Mirage is a solid option in its segment.
The 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage is available at four trim levels: ES, LE, SE, and GT.
Powertrain & Performance
Every 2019 Mirage comes with a 1.2-liter inline three-cylinder engine underneath its hood. On the ES trim level, this engine comes standard with a five-speed manual transmission, while all other trims have an INVECS-III Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). No matter the transmission, though, your Mirage will produce 78 horsepower and 74 lb-ft of torque.
Because of its compact size, the Mirage also manages to get great EPA-estimated fuel-efficiency ratings. This subcompact car gets 33 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway with the manual transmission, while models with the CVT boast 36 mpg in the city and 43 mpg on the highway.
Despite the Mirage’s tiny dimensions, it still manages to offer up to 47 cubic feet of cargo space. Its standard 60/40-split rear seats, a rear shelf, and luggage floor board all work together to make it easier to bring whatever you gear you need on your next adventure. Along with this practicality, the Mirage also offers a modern, simple design that will appeal to a number of consumers.
Standard & Available Features
When you opt for the base Mirage ES, you will receive a long list of standard features. This includes a rearview camera, a seven-inch touch panel display audio system, an AM/FM audio system, Digital HD Radio®, Bluetooth® wireless technology, a USB port, an ECO indicator light, and cruise control, along with steering wheel audio and phone controls.
As you move up the trim levels, you will find other available features on the Mirage, including Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility; a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob; chrome-plated front inner door handles; automatic climate control; High Intensity Discharge headlights; and a FAST-Key passive entry system with push button start.
You really have to see the Mitsubishi Mirage in person at Tom Hodges Mitsubishi to understand how all these advanced systems come together.
