The 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse is a brand new offering in Mitsubishi’s lineup. Carrying the spirit of past Eclipse nameplates into the modern crossover segment, the Mitsubishi Eclipse combines sporty style with everyday practicality and top-notch technology. It comes in four trim levels: the ES, LE, SE, and SEL.
Powertrains and Performance
All models of the 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse come equipped with the same 1.5-liter direct-injection turbocharged engine. Mated to a Continously Variable Transmission (CVT) with 8-step Sport Mode for smoother and more efficient driving, the Mitsubishi Eclipse cranks out 152 hp while still achieving a fuel economy of up to 26 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.* While the Mitsubishi Eclipse comes standard with FWD, drivers can also opt for Mitsubishi’s Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) system on higher trim levels.
The cockpit of the Mitsubishi Eclipse is driver-focused, with intuitive controls place within easy, accessible reach. Meanwhile, available features like leather seats, leather-wrapped accents, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof provide a more upscale interior. Tech features like Apple CarPlay ™ and Android Auto ™ as well as a futuristic Heads-Up Display provide both convenient functionality and entertainment.
However, the Mitsubishi Eclipse provides practical features for families, too, with a cabin that can accommodate up to five passengers with nine different reclining seat positions.
The 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse was designed from the ground up to deliver the sporty appearance of its Eclipse predecessors in a crossover form. With a sleek, low-riding profile and dynamic exterior lines, the Mitsubishi Eclipse commands attention wherever it drives. Drivers also have optional features for the exterior, such as 18-inch black alloy wheels on limited edition models, or the all-new Red Diamond paint color developed exclusively for the Mitsubishi Eclipse.
